Thanksgiving...A Week Late...

Yes it's late, I know. We had a nice turkey day lunch and then just lounged around for a while. A long while. Isn't that what you're supposed to do? After the turkey buzz wore off we went to visit my great aunt at her nursing home. The following day I dragged my butt out of bed at 4:00 to go black Friday shopping. My mom backed out this year so Bryan agreed to be my shopping buddy for the day. He asked the MIL to tag along too. So we went to pick her up at 4:30 and headed to WalMart. BIG mistake. Since that is the only store in my bitty town that participates in black Friday it was super super packed. I went to grab a leapster for Brit and as soon as someone ripped the plastic off the display they were gone. That was just the beginning. Everything was getting grabbed up by these people. I later found out from a cousin who was there at the same time that she had a dvd in her hand and someone just ripped it out of her hand. Mind you she's handicapped and walks with crutches...yeah that's how classy some of the people in this town are.
We were there for only about 15 minutes and we found MIL and got the hell out of there. We headed to TRU for some toys!!! That wasn't much better, but at least the store is huge. I found what I needed minus one toy. The toy hunting was easy, but the line to check out was insane. Both lines wrapped all the way to the back of the store. We waited an hour in line. Good thing we had the MIL with us she stayed in line while we continued to shop. We got out of there and grabbed a quick breakfast then headed out to the mall for some...GYMBOREE! Only Mommy's favorite store in the world. I got the boys their Christmas shirts, the big kids some fleece that, with my coupon, came out to $8.xx. We did a little more mall shopping then we were all way too exhausted to continue so we went home. I came home and took a loooong nap with my RyRy and we left later that night to go pick out our Christmas tree.

Ry eating his turkey day lunch, green beans, turkey, and tators. mmmm!
