My Little Monkey's First Birthday Party...

I'm so sad. This came waaayyy too soon. He's not quite a year yet though, he turns one on the 19th, but we had to get the party out of the way since it's so close to Christmas. I went with the mod monkey theme, since he's my little monkey. I had originally thought about sock monkeys, but there was no ready made party gear for that, so I would have had to come up with everything from scratch....so I scrapped that idea. The party itself was no huge thing, we kept it pretty simple, even in terms of guests. That's so hard to do since I have a super large family. Rylen had lots of fun, he enjoyed everything, except the pinata. He loved the monkey earlier that day, but when it was hanging from a tree, he was terrified. Rightfully so, Caden was terrified of his ginormous elephant pinata. I'll have to dig up the picture of the elephant, it was huge! Right before the last of the dwindling guests left the birthday boy fell asleep. It was his nap time and he was partied out. Perfect timing cause mom and dad had to get ready for daddy's company party later that night. He had a good time though, I hope everyone did too.
