Well this past weekend I went shopping with my sister, my nephew Austen, and Brit. It was tax free weekend in Texas so the mall was packed with people trying to save a little. Of course I ended up with bags of clothes for the kids, and not a damn thing for me. There was just a lot of stuff on sale for them. I got Brityn the outfit she's wearing in the picture below for $6.50, reg $28, and I got Caden a Quicksilver shirt (that cousin Austen picked out) for $4.25!! I was so proud of myself, that totally made me feel better for the times that I buy them things that are not so on sale. Brit was unbelievably behaved at the mall. She was quiet, didn't run, and was just generally good. She even fell asleep in the stroller.
Sunday we went to church, and I helped out in the preschooler room. OMG, 19 children!! I enjoyed it though. I will probably be doing that more often. Rylen went to the nursery for the first time. Grandma was in there, so he clung to her.
The pastors wife usually takes on the preschoolers, and she told me that Caden really gets into class. They have a video that they watch that that teaches a lesson, then gives them music and a time to worship. Well she says he just puts his hands out and closes his eyes and quietly worships while the others are dancing around. I loved it! I'm so happy that he's learning this, and it's just saying something about the way that we're raising him. It gets me all teary eyed now.
So that was our weekend. Nothing much. I hope our week is uneventful as well. I'm not so sure about it though. Sunday night Brit woke up and puked. Not nice. She was fine all day yesterday , ate and acted normal. So I'm praying that it was just an upset tummy and not the beginning of anything yucky.
