Pettiskirt Madness...

So remember I said that I didn't know what I had gotten myself into. Well it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I got my kit last Monday and started on it on Tuesday. I just cut that night, it took me about 3 hours to measure and cut all the pieces I needed. It was a lot of chiffon and I could not have done it without my trusty rotary cutter and cutting mat. The next day I had to sew pieces together to make some very very long pieces. After that came gathering and sewing it into an actual skirt which I then attached yards and yards of ruffles to. The whole process took about 4 days of on and off work, mostly while the kids were sleeping. It was time consuming to say the least but not very difficult so I cannot wait to get started on another one. I'll be shopping around online for fabric and I'll definitely be adding a yard or so to make it even pouffier this time.
