Brityn will be 4 on March 23, and although a nice big princess party sounds awesome, we're opting for an easy breezy Chuck-E-Cheese party. Well as "easy" as CEC can be, personally being there is a little nerve wracking to me...germs, parents not watching their kids, having to keep track of my wild children in that ginormus tunnel thing...you get the picture. It will be nice to go have the party and then come home to a nice (still clean) house.
Anyway, that's beside the point. I wanted Brit to have one of these beautiful pettiskirts. I've been drooling over them for a year or so now, but seeing as how they are insanely over priced...I mean pretty darn expensive, I decided to wait. I also decided that it would make a wonderful birthday outfit this year. I looked all over and managed to find some that were about $60. That price still didn't satisfy me so me, being the DIYer kind, found a kit on etsy and thought it would be a fantastic idea to make it myself. I mean it's a skirt...a waistband, elastic, some ruffles. Well it's a lot of ruffles like 30 yards of it. Yikes. From what I've read the tricky part is keeping the mountain of ruffles organized, and also the ruffling itself. I'll just be praying that I can do it without wanting to pull my hair out, and also that it looks decent. Whatever though, she'll be wearing it anyway!!
