A Trip to the Dr.'s...

Well Monday we had to take all 3 to get flu shots, Rylen was getting his 2nd dose and the kids were getting well visits cause they had not had them done in this new office. The last time they had well a well visit was at thier Cinco Ranch Pedi. I still miss that office.
So they measured them and weighed them and did all that stuff. Caden got his vision and hearing checked...and come to find out he's not hard of hearing he just chooses to ignore me.
They asked me if Brityn speaks 100 words...we laughed!! Sometimes she won't hush, that little chatter box. Then the nurse said "shot" and the look on Caden's face changed. He is terrified of getting shots. With a little bribe (a trip to Target for a surprise) he was ok.
Then we got to talking about Caden's weight, he's not gained a pound in 10 months. He's had problems gaining weight since he was about a year. The kid eats, he eats often, just in small amounts. I don't let him eat too much junk, but maybe I should so he can gain some weight. But then what if he ends up looking like those kids on the talk shows that eat like 3 cheeseburgers for lunch. LOL.
So now, I am having to keep a food diary for him, listing everything he eats all day for 2 weeks. He'll go back in 2 weeks for some blood work and a weigh in. So I'm pushing the butter and giving him whole milk instead of the usual 2%. I'll be adding to it carnation instant breakfast for the protein. My poor skinny guy, his baby sister is catching up to him.
I'm a little worried cause of some issues he's had with his tummy, and reminding me of myself when I was little. I would not want to eat cause it made my stomach hurt. I was really really thin cause I knew that eating would make my stomach hurt. I have IBS so there was for sure something wrong with my tummy all along. After that we'll be exploing the possibility of him having some sort of bowel/stomach issues. I hope that's not the case, maybe he's just small.
Can you tell he's nervous about the shot he thought his medal would make him brave....
