Now that Rylen is one, I think it's time for a potty. I bought both Caden and Brityn a potty at a year old. Caden took to it kind of quick, by the time he was 18months he was pee pee trained, and totally trained like 3 months or so later. Brityn took a little longer, she was 2, right around the time I found out I was preggo with Ry. Both times I just put the potty out and sat them in it every so often, only if they were ok with it though. I just helped them become familiar with it. Then I'd put them in undies and gave them plenty to drink and sat them on the potty EVERY 20-30 MINUTES, just to see if they wanted to go!! Had to be every 20 minutes or so, if not then we'd have an accident. It took a week or so to get them to 'get it' but it was worth it. I remember Caden would almost make it all by himself only to tinkle on the floor right next to it. Brityn was just stubborn and only went in her potty in the living room (good thing we had hard floors)! She wanted nothing to do with the bathroom, I think the big potty scared her.
So, I guess it's time to get Mr. Rylen a potty chair. I hope to do that sometime this weekend. Not sure if I'll find the one I'm looking for. If not then I guess I'll have to resort to ordering it online. I just hope that he will not be the only one of my kids that refuses to train. We'll just have to try it out.
